Module 2 Chapter 5

1. Ink marks



From the Giraffes source - black indian ink applied with the edge of straight - cut card - shapes made by twisting the card.









From the Juvenile Emperor Angel Fish source - black indian ink applied using card - edges cut with pinking sheers.

2. Bleach marks


From the Jaguar source - bleach splodged on black tissue paper with detailing swabs.

Sea Stars - splodges of bleach applied to black tissue paper with detailing swabs.









Giant Tortoise - marks made in bleach on black tissue paper using the serrated edge of a shell.

From the Zebra source - paper painted with black Quink ink and bleach applied with a straight cut credit card.









From the Juvenile Emperor Angel Fish source - paper painted with black Brusho andbleach applied with credit card cut in various widths - ends cut with pinking sheers.

Using block printing ink smoothed out with a roller

4. Bubble wrap printing



Black powder paint mixed with P.V.A.
Small bubble wrap - Giraffes, Jaguar and Nile Monitor Lizard









Large bubble wrap - Giraffes and Jaguar

5. Salt effects - Sea Stars, Nile Crocodile and Nile Monitor Lizard


Diluted Pebeo setacolor transparent with dishwasher and table salt added while wet.

6. Sun Printing - Giraffes


Diluted Setacolor Transparent on wet paper.
Shapes cut from funky foam and left in sun and artificial light

7. Marbling


Nile Monitor Lizard.
With thickener added to the water.
Followed by
Nile monitor lizard and Jaguar
With thickener added

8.Printing - Cormorant and Snake


White powder paint mixed with P.V.A - printed with tile spacers on perspex blocks
